Phasmophobia Tempest Major Update v0.8.0.0 Patch Notes November 13, 2022

  • Players can participate in a new holiday event and potentially earn a unique holiday trophy and unique holiday badge and badge.

The asylum was completely rebuilt from scratch, with more prominent room layouts, mortuary, hospital wing, courtyard and experimental area. Be careful, the ghost will block the main door of each wing when hunting, so prepare an escape route while it's safe.

Sunny Meadows Psychiatric Hospital - RESTRICTED

Sunny Meadows isn't just one big place, it's five little places in one! The new location choice board lets you vote if you want to play a smaller, tighter version of Asylum. Each time you enter, you'll be given a random section to investigate, with the other sections locked or locked. When a ghost interacts with the current system or throws an item, it usually barely moves. To fix this, we've redesigned the way a spirit's cast works to ensure it's impactful, noticeable, and ever more exciting. Some spirits also had their skills and characteristics modified.

  • All chase and event sound effects now have their volume reduced to 0% when you are at least 20m away, instead of being silent.
    Note: This should also make Myling's strength more apparent.
  • Singing noises caused by Jukebox playback now drop to 0% volume further than 20 m away.
  • Spells now have a minimum "Magic Power" to avoid minor spells

Our voice recognition system has been completely replaced!

We no longer rely on Windows language systems, which means it supports many more languages ​​and platforms like GeForce Now and Steam Deck out of the box (and fixes that annoying tab bug).

Our first approach to curbing peekaboo overuse didn't work out too well, so we opened up a lot of doors for better navigation, but taught our ghosts a lesson in how to play hide and seek properly!

In the last update, Willow got the full hideout treatment, while the other locations were left out a bit! We've revised these places to tweak, add, or remove caches to make them more consistent and reliable:

We've been keeping an eye on our team's hidden cameras and have discovered that many of our Ghostbusters like to hide behind doors (hell, even us!). However, this caused several major problems;

  • Some places are so good they can't kill you
  • Negates hiding blockers on higher difficulties.
  • Neglect the initial exploration of the location to find hiding places, as you can always go to the same door.

While we don't want to make hiding impossible, as it's such a big part of the game, we've made some changes to encourage hiding in specific spots instead of behind doors, improved some spots that weren't working consistently, and added new ones. .

  • When a location is locked, some locations will sometimes delete items instead of adding items (for example, a shelf to hide behind is no longer there).
  • The number of locked chests in all locations has been adjusted, and now you always have a minimum number of chests per difficulty level.
